The Environment Strikes Back?

The Environment Strikes Back?

This can be termed the “Case Name” of the day.  AIR v. EPA, out of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  http://www.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/opinions/2011/02/02/09-71383.pdf  A thanks to James Tyre on the Solosez listerserv for the head’s up.

It has nothing to do with environmental crimes, but does kind of make you chuckle.

On another note, Fred Burnside has recently retired from his position of overseeing all of the USEPA’s criminal investigators.  He is sitting down today for an interview in an ABA Quick Teleconference with Bruce Pasfield, current chair of the ABA’s SEER Environmental Enforcement and Crimes Committee.  It will be a good interview.

More later.
