US v. John Emerson Tuma – Indictment
On February 24, 2011, John Tuma was indicted on a five-count indictment alleging conspiracy to violate the Clean Water Act, three counts alleging violations of the Clean Water Act and one count of Obstruction of Justice in impeding a USEPA inspection. The case is styled United States v. John Emerson Tuma, Criminal No. 11-00031, In the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Shreveport Division and is set for trial to begin on March 12, 2012.
Cody Tuma, John Tuma’s son, was also named in that indictment; however, he pled guilty on February 28, 2012, to an information alleging a misdemeanor violation of the Clean Water Act. His sentencing is set for June 20, 2012.
